We just got the preproduction first article for our Tenere 700 skid plate. After fitting it up the the bike everything looked good it just needs a couple of slight changes to make it perfect. The Tenere skid plate will be made of powder coated 5052 aluminum with a UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight) shock pivot protector. The Rival Components Skid Plate offers better protection over the factory installed part. Constructed from 3/16″ aluminum and welded on both the inside and outside of the seams to insure the strongest joints possible, along with the powder coated steel brackets you have a bomb proof protection solution for your Yamaha Tenere 700.
